This past week has been busy but good. I had to lead the class in a discussion on Glengarry Glen Ross, and it was actually fun. I highly recommend this play, especially when you can watch the movie as well. The way Mamet uses language is fantastic - he is able to carry the play with words more than scenery. His words provide the "action" of the play. This week we're heading into the Harlem Renaissance, one of my favorite subjects, so it should also be an interesting ride.
I worked on Saturday and it was quite pleasant. The place was pretty quiet, but I had plenty to do to keep the time moving along. I like quiet. My brain works much better.
Today is Pokemon for the kids, and I am SO hoping they all go. I'd really like to clean my house a bit. Well...that's a lie. I wouldn't LIKE to clean it, but it NEEDS to be cleaned. Where oh where is that Alice or Hazel or housekeeper du jour when you need her?
