My son, Kyle, turned 12 yesterday. He chose to go to Outback Steakhouse for dinner, where we met his grandparents for a silly night. The wait staff brought him a huge scoop of ice cream and sang to him. He SAID he didn't want them to because it was "too embarrassing," but he lit up like a light bulb every time they walked by singing to someone else. He got a new bicycle, some new Pokemon figurines, and a bunch of money. He promptly said he is going to buy a new DS game or two with his new cash stash...now if he'd only get ungrounded or stay ungrounded long enough to play with it...
